Living near a Walmart!!!!

Dear Mamerson,
This has been the craziest last week probably of my whole mission. So i went up to almost as far north as the mission goes to a city called Santa Fe. They pretty much just sent me up to live on the beach with a ton of rich people. My area really is just that. we live like 4 blocks from a beach of a ginormous river that kind of just forms a lake. The greatest part is that my area is only the beach, it just follows it so i´m always right next to it and all the people that live on or near the beach are waayyy rich so there is almost absolutely no poor place in my area! except our apartment. haha, kidding, even that is brand new and super cute. Don´t let any of my returned missionary older brothers read this, but WE HAVE A WALMART IN OUR AREA!!! i don´t know how you could get any richer than that. we haven´t been there yet, but it´s not even that far away from us. And because it´s so rich and all the people actually have stuff to do nothing bad ever happens here. There are parts farther in the city where it can get dangerous, but my area is just the safest, richest, prettiest place ever. Mom, you really overdid it with praying for my safety, this is just nuts.
And once again i scored the coolest companion ever! his name is Elder Derrick nelson and he´s from Sandy, Utah. He´s been in this area for 2 transfers already so he´s knows his way around really good and i don´t get lost among all the big fancy houses. He´s our district leader and he definately should be because he is just a work horse! He plans everything to the second and he never ever gives in to the natural man tendencies to waste time. He knows exactly why he´s out here and knows that there isn´t time to waste so he just gets the work done and it´s so cool to be his companion and have the example. One of the main reasons that he is an awesome missionary is that he is perfectly obedient and it seems like temptations could never even phase the man, he´s just a beast. he´s just a little shorter than me and has dark hair and dark eyes and he ran track in high school.
Something else that´s nuts is that we eat with the members exactly every day because the actually have somebody that coordinates all of that so we never have to find our own food (which is proabably good, cuz the apartment is so new it doesn´t have a stove yet).  Also, one of the families in our wards owns a rotiseria!!! ah, i don´t know what that would be called in english, but they sell empanadas and pizzas and all the great argentine foods so we eat with them a lot haha.
It is a little tougher here because the people are just a little bit colder. they´re all pretty rich and kind of think they all have it set so 2 weirdos walking around in ties doesn´t really draw a lot of attention to them haha. There is a lot to be done here! and i´m excited to do it. I kind of had a weird weekend, but those first couple days were awesome and i´m stoked to keep it up this week. I love you all, if there´s anything i can do for you let me know. ¡¡¡¡¡¡Tienen que decir a kolby escribirme esa carta de su misión y no ser ocioso!!!! haha just kidding, he´s great, i´m sure he´s got a lot going on :) Good work on the baptism maxwell!!!! no, i haven´t recieved the christmas packages yet, but don´t sweat it, they´ll get here :) see you next time hoagie!

Transfer to Santa Fe

Heeeyyyyyyy Mami!
What a great week we have had! full of tears and joy! Missions are so neat, thanks for all the support! I just barely figured out that i´m headed to santa fe!!! i have been in my first area for all of like 6 months and now i´m headed up to the farthest north where i hear it´s the hottest place in the mission with the most mosquitos. i´m totally gonna miss it here, but i´m excited!!! i don´t have a ton of time because i tried to send pictures of a cultural event that they had here the other weekend. it was super cute and kinda just reminded me of dad´s special needs mutual things but oh so precious. sorry it was short, it´s longer next week i swear! love ya´ll!! nos vemos!

Great Week

Mamerson,
This week was a great one! We went by a member´s house and she told us she had a reference for us that the bishop had been talking to so we went by and she totally rules. She asks us all the questions in the book and even a couple i´ve never heard before so we finally just told her, after just like 2 visits, that she has to look up all the answers and study it out on her own and she was just cool with it and now she reads the book of mormon a lot to find the answers to those questions! I´ve never heard someone say what she said to us before- that she was mad at God because he gave up his son to die for  us.... she obviously didn´t understand haha so all we did is explain why that was important for everyone and she trusted God again haha way weird.
Congratulate max and shaersti on their birthdays and baptisms for me would you? that´s so great. i went to an 8-year-old Argentine´s baptism yesterday and it was so adorable and just awesome to see other families even here in Argentina that are eternal and happy like ours. Kolby went to salt lake for four days with jessica?! That´s so inicuo. When i get back Laura and i are definately going to Disneyland for at least 4 days then, ha kidding, i have no money. don´t worry about ol´ kolby. i´m sure he´s doing great.
The transfers are just next week and that makes me so sad becasue i get along so well with my companion that i have right now and i´ve been in this city forever so i´m probably going to leave soon, but i´ll let you know what happens when i know! i love you all, keep up the great work!
