What he is grateful for!

La Mamá,
Yo quería escribirte en castellano hoy porque todos los wachos lo están haciendo. Na, i´m just kidding. I´ll try hard to answer all the questions.
I´m doing super good! I don´t really know how rosario is, i´ve never actually served there, I´ve only been there for meetings and stuff, but from what i hear they are doing really good down there. I did not ever get the christmas package that the lady sent me, but even if it got to the mission perfectly fine i still wouldn´t have had a chance to obtain it yet so hopefully it´s all good :)
Addi could talk, but she could only say very very small words that were more like burps so i´m super excited to get home and see how she´s talking!!!! i´m not excited that when i get home she´ll have no more reason to pray for me :(
About the missionaries going home early, that is a real thing that it´s hard to not have access to technology to socialize all the time. I would definately say that the reasons go deeper than that, but it sure is a real thing about getting hooked on facebook and getting to a point where you need it.
I have not figured out how to call you on christmas yet. There are transfers the week before christmas and, more than likely, i´m going to leave my area so we won´t have a ton of time to set it up, but i will call you!! don´t worry about that. I´m sure that i´ll be able to find some kind of computer to do skype too.
About the release date... i asked for an extension and the president told me it would be an honor to have me stay in his mission.... so i´ll be getting home in the middle of september of next year! Na, i´m kidding. Our president doesn´t give out extensions except for really special reasons. Kolby was totally right though, my mission got extended by 2 weeks so i should be going home around march 12th. But no worries, i´ll get flight plans and let you know all about it.
I won´t get to be seated around the Thanksgiving table this year when we say what we are grateful for so i´d love to take the oportunity right now!! I´m grateful for family!!!!! I know that i do really bad at expressing that, just based on the amount of letters and packages i send, but every day i´m reminded by the spirit how grateful i am for my family. I´m grateful for parents who are so giving to be paying for this whole mission gig that i´m doing. I´m grateful for the redeeming power of Jesus Christ´s atonement that helps us all to be better and erase our mistakes and i´m super grateful for the chance that i have to teach that to the cute little city of Concordia in Argentina. God´s plan I so divine that i came here to this exact city to meet the exact people i did because it really could not have been any other way. I´m grateful for that plan. I´m grateful for your support and i´m grateful because i´m an Emett!!! Odoyle Rules! gracias. amen.

Still has a sense of humor!

Mum,
          Healthy, happy, doing good.
                                 Love, Elder Emett

Naaaaaaaa! i´m just kidding. Sorry that all the letters have been short, but sometimes it´s just like that.
This last week we had a crazy experience. A man named Ramon came to church 2 weeks ago just totally drugged and out of it. He lives in the street and really just has nothing going in his life. People go to the church very often to ask for money or food or things like that because the whole world here understands we´re good people, but when he came into the church he didn´t ask for food or money or a place to stay. He simply told a branch president here that he needed to change so he showed up at the church.
The branch president came and got my companion and i out of sacrament meeting and we met Ramon. I don´t know if you know the look in the eye of someone who is so drugged they can hardly think.. well, his eyes were like that. Usually people like that just yell at us asking for money and say a whole lot of stuff they don´t mean to say. He was composing himself super well, but we said either way he wouldn´t understand anything right then. We said, ´´Ramon, you come here at five thirty tonight and we´ll help you, but you can´t touch drugs or alcohol today or we won´t be able to help you.´´ So he left and at five thirty my companion and i were in the church doubtfully waiting. I looked out the window and i thought i saw him sitting on a wall on the other side of the street so i went outside to see if it was really him and he had left. so i ran down the street to see if he had turned the corner and it was him! i called him and we taught him. He just kept saying with eyes full of tears, ´´until when? until when?´´ as in he was absolutely sick of being that way. He hadn´t used drugs or alcohol all day and he really understood what we said. We told him to come back tuesday at five and he came! But that look in his eyes was way better, when he came walking down the street he had a big smile and was just as happy as can be and looked like a regular person. We didn´t have a lot of chances to teach him this week, but he went to church yesterday and made comments and asked questions in the classes and all the members treated him great!!!
Also, yesterday we had the most people in church i have ever had in this area (in over 6 months) There were 53 and the coolest part is that a ton of them were new. We are having a ton of success in this area. My companion (Elder Taylor) and i have been together like 4 months and we are just having a ton of fun. He is from Payson so we´re totally going to hang out after the mission. We are just like best friends and the coolest part is that he is just the bossest missionary ever. He fixes everything.... spiritually and like mechanically.
You already knew that stephen Montague got home from his mission, right? well right now he is working as a valet in Las Vegas and last week he went to our house to visit the Emett family... but nobody was there!!!! So he went in and took a picture equally. haha gosh i miss that guy.
Right now we are doing super good here in the zone Entre Rios. There is an email they send us every preparation day that shows how many baptisms each zone has and, for my entire mission, Entre Rios has been the zone that never baptizes. Last week in the weekly email it showed that we are leading the whole mission in baptisms right now!!
I hope that was a little longer! l love you all! i´ll keep jason in my prayers cuz that´s way scary, i hate head problems!!!!!!  much love!

Good news for the week!

Hola mamà,
That´s great to hear that the family is doing well! i hope they like the pictures i sent!
The big angry mexican was not my companion, he just lived with me for 6 entire months. He is not even that big, i think i can take him, but he just looks like a full man already. He was serving as a branch president and was completely against all jokes or fun that we did. It`s not that he was angry with me or had anything against me, he just had a very... strange attitude toward everything. Buuuut, he went home!! and i loved the guy, but the mission is just going to be a little happier for me now haha, that´s all.
This week we had a baptism of a girl named victoria. On sunday she gave her tetimony and it was so absolutely touching! I feel like such a part of their family.
Thats my good news for this week,  i love you all a ton. See you soon

Big Angry Mexican

Mum,
So it turns out that there weren´t as many changes as we thought. we were waiting for the whole world to change, but there were hardly any changes, except our zone just got even bigger haha.
This week was a great week. We were able to help a girl named Victoria prepare for baptism and she will be getting baptized today in the afternoon!
We traveled to rosario the past week. My companion and i have become huge fans of traveling so we do it really often. We have decided that one of these times they are going to send us to the states on one of these travels.
For six months i have lived with a big angry mexican and he just barely went home because he ended the mission so i believe that i´m going to have a whole lot of fun now!! probably a lot more jokes and joshing around, i´m way excited about that.
Sorry that there is not a whole lot of time to write nor a lot of things to write about, but i love you all and i´ll see you at the turkey bowl
